Linx Procedure for GERD

LINX® is a revolutionary solution for patients with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). This minimally invasive laparoscopic procedure is intended for patients diagnosed with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) to prevent stomach acid from entering your esophagus, and it is designed to provide patients with a lifetime of relief. The goal of surgery is to prevent stomach acid from entering your esophagus.

LINX is a worthwhile solution for many GERD patients who have not achieved sufficient symptom relief from maximum medical therapy, such as medication and proton pump inhibitors. The LINX device helps prevent abnormal amounts of stomach acid from moving back up into the esophagus (the long muscular tube that carries food from your mouth into your stomach). Many peer-reviewed studies support the safety, effectiveness, and long-term durability of LINX surgery. If you have already been diagnosed with GERD, ask your provider about the Linx procedure. If you have questions about the procedure, you can watch this informational video, or call our surgeon's office. A referral from your provider is required for the Linx procedure.
