Outpatient Rehabilitation

Wayne HealthCare's Outpatient Rehabilitation Center has over 10,000 square feet of space geared towards making recovery from an illness or accident as complete as possible. Our dedicated, compassionate staff focuses on helping patients regain the skills necessary to make their lives better and more independent.

Because the needs of each patient is different, each one is evaluated by a therapist who, with input from the patient and their doctor, designs a treatment program specific to their unique goals and requirements. Typically, patients work with the same therapist for the duration of their program, and available programs include physical, occupational, and speech therapies, as well as physical medicine. Whether brought to us by an accident, disability, arthritis, spinal cord injuries, work or sports-related injuries, stroke, or heart attack, the therapists at our Outpatient Rehabilitation Center consistently help our patients to achieve their recovery goals—from regaining the ability to perform daily tasks and activities to learning how to work around physical limitations—all in an encouraging, positive environment.

The center is fully equipped to meet a full range of rehabilitation regimens, and has Darke County's only AquaCiser—an underwater treadmill used to help patients without the stress placed on joints and muscles by conventional treadmills. In addition, the center contains a wide variety of weight training equipment that enables therapists to create customized programs to suit each patient's needs.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Center offers a number of programs and amenities including:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Consultations with Dr. David Johnson, M.D.
  • Electromyography (EMG)
  • Large gym area
  • Aqua-Ciser underwater treadmill
