House Supervisor- PRN, Varied Shifts

Position:

This PRN position is for a house supervisor working 12 hour shifts. The applicants schedule will be based on the needs of the department. The position reports to the VP of Patient Care Services.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed and registered to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
• BLS required
• ACLS required within six months and PALS required within one year
• Minimum of three years’ current experience as a staff nurse/charge nurse with demonstrated administrative and leadership abilities
• ICU experience preferred
• Bachelor Degree required or a signed commitment to complete within five years

Job Responsibilities

• Integrate nursing service into the organization’s primary functions, and attain the organization’s Mission
• Coordinate and integrate interdepartmental and intradepartmental services
• Develops and implements Nursing standards and procedures that guide and support the provision of services for the nursing department and the hospital
• Recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care, including treatment
• Continuously assess and improve the performance of care and services provided
• Understands the principles and steps of problem solving and acts as a resource to others in problem identification and resolution
