Phlebotomist - Multiple Positions

Open Phlebotomist Positions:

(1) - Part Time - 1st Shift, 32 hours per week

(1) - Part Time - 2nd Shift, 16 hours per week, primary to working weekend shifts*

(1) - Part Time - 3rd Shift, 32 hours per week

This position is primary to working assigned shifts but the applicant can be scheduled to alternate shifts on an as-needed basis to meet the needs of the department. Generally, the shift will be 8 hours in length but could be more or fewer hours to meet the needs of patient care. The position reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician preferred.
Experience with adults (including geriatric), adolescents, pediatric and newborn patients preferred.

Responsibilities/Skills:

The phlebotomist will be responsible for the collection of blood and urine specimens for both inpatient and outpatient services.
Administer drug screen collections (DOT and non-DOT) and breathe alcohol collections (BATs).
Knowledgeable in the performance of collection procedures and use of pertinent equipment.
A high level of professionalism and customer focused behavior is required of the phlebotomist as they are the visible representatives of the laboratory.
Successful completion of the department orientation process.
Continued perform that meets the expectations of the department and the facility.

All other assigned tasks.
