RN- Perioperative Services Manager
This is a full time salary position working 40 hours weekly. The Perioperative Services Manager reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and the Vice President of Patient Care Services/CNO. The Perioperative Services RN Manager is responsible for surgical services, central sterile, PAT, and pre-op/post-op services. Schedule flexibility is key based on patient care and department needs.
Qualifications:
- Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years management experience required
- Minimum of three – five years of experience in the OR required
- Demonstrated administrative and leadership abilities
- Critical Care experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS certification preferred, required within one year
Job Responsibilities
- Recommend a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide staff and support the assigned departments
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of perioperative and endoscopy nursing care according to AORN and ASPAN professional standards of care practice
- Interview and hire prospective employees, participate in the discipline and termination of employees
- Conduct monthly staff meetings, ensure participation in mandatory in-services, and promote professional growth and development
- Ensure staff receives proper orientation, continually assess skill sets to improve the care and services provided
- Physically able to perform the functions of the position
- Understands the principles and steps of problem solving and acts as a resource to others in problem identification and resolution
- Attains and maintains all required qualifications
- All other tasks as assigned
