Supporting Patients Through a Change in Radiation Therapy Locations

Wayne HealthCare remains committed to supporting patients throughout every stage of their cancer journey.

Wayne HealthCare and Dayton Physicians Network have partnered to provide radiation oncology services to patients in our community. Beginning October 2, 2026, radiation oncology treatments currently provided at Wayne Cancer Center will transition to other Dayton Physicians Network locations.

Radiation therapy services will continue to be available through Dayton Physicians Network, and Wayne HealthCare remains dedicated to helping patients navigate this transition through care coordination, patient education, and ongoing support.

Our commitment to compassionate cancer care remains unchanged.

Patients can expect:

Direct Communication About Your Care

Patients currently receiving radiation therapy will be contacted directly by Dayton Physicians Network regarding their treatment plan and transition details.

Continued Radiation Therapy Services

Radiation therapy will continue to be available through Dayton Physicians Network at several regional locations.

Support With Care Coordination

Wayne HealthCare's Cancer Nurse Navigator is available to help patients understand next steps, coordinate services, and connect with available resources.

Continued Access to Wayne Cancer Center Services

Wayne Cancer Center will remain open and continue providing comprehensive cancer services close to home.

Radiation Therapy Locations

Radiation oncology services will continue to be provided by Dayton Physicians Network at the following locations:

  • Miami Valley Hospital North
  • Upper Valley Medical Center
  • Greater Dayton Cancer Center
  • Miami Valley Hospital South
  • Atrium Medical Center

Our Cancer Nurse Navigator helps patients and families better understand their care plan, coordinate appointments, and connect with available resources.

Transportation Assistance

Through the Wayne HealthCare Foundation, transportation assistance may be available for eligible patients who need to travel for radiation treatments.

Ongoing Cancer Support

Patients will continue to have access to Wayne HealthCare's oncology providers, support teams, and cancer services throughout their treatment journey.

While radiation therapy services will transition to other Dayton Physicians Network locations, Wayne Cancer Center remains open and continues providing important cancer services, including:

Yes. Dayton Physicians Network uses the same medical record system across its locations, helping support continuity of care as patients transition to another radiation oncology location.
