Working Together for a Healthier Darke County

A healthier community starts with strong partnerships and a shared commitment to those we serve. Wayne HealthCare and local organizations are working together through the Darke County Rural Health Network to strengthen access to care, advance mental health and wellness initiatives, and connect individuals and families with valuable resources.

Supported by a $100,000 Rural Health Network Development Planning Grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the network is bringing community partners together to identify local healthcare needs, strengthen collaboration, and develop a long-term plan to improve access to care and support services throughout Darke County.

Planning for Lasting Community Impact

Through June 30, 2027, participating organizations are reviewing community needs, exploring ways to improve coordination, and developing a shared strategic plan to guide future priorities. The goal is to make it easier for residents and families to connect with helpful resources while strengthening the relationships that support rural healthcare.

How the grant is used: The HRSA award supports establishing and planning the network; it does not directly fund new healthcare services. Current community programs are supported through additional partnerships and funding sources. The strategic plan can help guide future initiatives and funding opportunities.
