Our goal is simple...We want to serve.

That’s why the 120 active volunteers at Wayne HealthCare are such an important part of patient care. From admission to dismissal, volunteers are on hand to make each patient’s stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Volunteers at Wayne HealthCare contribute in many ways, they can be found in various departments and areas of the hospital. Our volunteers dedicate their time and energy by greeting visitors, helping them find their way, taking patients to their cars for dismissals, delivering flowers and gifts to patients, filing in offices, running the gift shop and holding many fundraisers to support the hospital departments by purchasing various new items to promote the growth of the hospital and community.

Some of our most recent purchases for the Hospital include:

  • New Wheelchairs
  • New Seizure pads
  • OB Stretchers
  • PB Extreme Plyoboxes
  • Page Writer TC70 Cardiogram EKG Machine
  • Pulse Oximeters

Our volunteers are recognized and celebrated every April around National Volunteer Week for their hours of service during their Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

As the hospital continues to grow and evolve, our need for dedicated individuals who want to give their precious gift of time and energy is needed.
