Pharmacist - PRN, Resource Position

Position:

This is a PRN resource position within the Pharmacy Department. The work schedule varies to meet the needs of the department. Call requirements exist for this position. This position reports to the Director of Pharmacy Services.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed to practice in the State of Ohio
• 1-2 years experience in a hospital environment preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Skill, Ability and Responsibility:

• Interpersonal and analytical skills necessary to function under the current standards of pharmacy practice
• Perform necessary monitors for quality assurance and drug utilization
• Assist pharmacy technicians as needed
• Determine and place wholesale drug orders and assist in the receipt of drug orders
• Supervise and validate the functions performed by the Pharmacy Technicians
• Enter, review, and process physician orders while monitoring for appropriateness
• Understand the needs of a population from neonate to geriatric
• Assist in training of new personnel and development of existing facility staff
• Physically able to perform all the functions of the position
• Maintains all required qualifications for the area assigned
• All other tasks as assigned
